Our Story: The Mind Behind the Movement

I have never been interested in comfortable silence.

If you look around the world today, the cultural landscape is flooded with superficial noise. We are surrounded by sanitized histories, corporate distractions, and systemic tragedies that are swept under the rug before the public can even ask the right questions. We are told to keep it polite, keep it moving, and keep it light.
But light doesn’t uncover the truth. Depth does.

Why We Exist

I founded this brand because I am a researcher, I am a mother, a visual archivist, and a disruptor by nature. I look at current events, history, and the cosmos through a lens that demands absolute transparency and uncompromising justice.
Upon learning of the questionable hangings of Black bodies and then learning about the tragedy and contested anomalies surrounding the death of Mississippi teenager Nolan Wells, I knew a hashtag wasn’t enough. I needed to be able to do more!

When I looked into the erased history of the Black cowboy on the American frontier and realized that one in four cowboys were Black men, learning that 13 of the first 15 Kentucky Derby jockeys were Black men and further that Black men had WON 15 of the first 28 of those elite horse races at Churchill Downs, I was floored! Their legacies were whitewashed out of textbooks and the conversation at large. I refused to let their sovereignty remain buried.

When I look at the suspicious systemic headlines that insult our collective intelligence daily, my response is simple: Not me, not today.
We don't design apparel just for you to look good. We design apparel to force a pause. We build streetwear that acts as a walking ledger of history, accountability, and cosmic identity.

The Mission

Every single piece across our flagship collections—from BPDLT, NMNT, and OGBC to SASS—is a physical manifestation of conversations that need to happen out loud, out in the streets, and in the rooms where they try to quiet us.
We are here to honor those whose crowns were stripped away. We are here to demand a reckoning for injustices left out of the evening news. We are aligned with the stars and will always look up and forward. This is more than a clothing brand. This is an independent, raw, unapologetic platform for truth-tellers, visionaries, and systemic disruptors.
We don't fit into your quiet boxes. We came to turn up the volume.
